Trust & Safety
Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the controls you have over your information.
Last updated July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information PeopleQuickSearch collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aggregate information that is already public — public records and published directories — and make it searchable so people can reconnect and verify contacts. We are committed to collecting only what we need for that purpose.
Information we collect
When you use PeopleQuickSearch, we collect the search terms you enter, basic account details if you create an account (such as your email address), and technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, device type, and pages viewed. When you submit a removal or correction request, we collect the name, address, and contact details you provide so we can locate and act on the correct record.
The people-search results we display are compiled from third-party public sources. We do not create this underlying information; we index and present what is already publicly available.
How we use information
We use information to run searches, deliver and improve the service, honor removal and correction requests, prevent abuse and fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information as that term is defined under applicable law.
Sharing and disclosure
We share information with service providers who process data on our behalf (such as hosting and analytics providers) under contract, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not disclose your removal-request details except as needed to fulfill the request.
Retention
We retain search and report data only as long as needed to provide the service — cached report data is kept no longer than 30 days and then re-fetched. Removal and correction records are kept as needed to demonstrate we honored your request.
Your choices
You can request removal of your information at any time using our opt-out form, and you can exercise access, correction, and deletion rights described on our Your Data Rights page. Children under 18 may not use PeopleQuickSearch.
