What the law asks
Give every employee and worker a written statement of their particulars no later than the day they start. It must be one document, apart from the items the law lets you give separately.
Employment Rights Act 1996 ss.1-2Tell the worker in writing about any change to those particulars at the earliest opportunity, and no later than one month after it.
Employment Rights Act 1996 s.4Tell staff your disciplinary rules and procedure, whom to go to about a disciplinary decision or a grievance, and what happens next. A reasonably accessible document, such as a handbook, can hold it.
